Healing America's Youth received its name by recognizing the enormous amount of chemicals children are consuming from many areas of their lives. Chemicals are in their food, water and soil, medicines, drugs, cigarettes and alcohol. We are learning that many prevalent chemicals are toxic and could be causing a myriad of conditions being named as diseases. What is the connection to them all? Could they be the underlying causes to the physical, emotional and behavior problems facing today’s children? Could it be that chemical addiction (sugar, caffeine, and artificial flavors and colors) begins in early childhood long before the addict evolves? Healing America's Youth is a generation not only being raised on toxic chemicals,  but also toxic messages from the media, advertising,  and excessive stimulation.

Healing America's Youth is an on-line resource for raising naturally healthy children. By combining research, information, and resources into one comprehensive site, Healing America's Youth offers parents, educators, caregivers, and youth one source to make educated decisions to inspire the health and vitality of our children.   

As individuals, corporate leaders, and government agencies gain a greater awareness of the cause and effect relationships we are creating, we can make more conscientious decisions. Through awareness and meaningful action, our optimism is filled with the tremendous potential for restoring children’s health, happiness, and hope. 

Youth in Crisis

“Youth in Crisis” is the category where we profile the most prevailing health problems facing today’s children. For each of the following conditions we first describe the “condition”, the “criteria” for the condition, followed by the “causes” and “cures” for these conditions: Attention Deficient / Hyperactivity Disorder (ADD/ADHD), Childhood Depression, Learning Disabilities, Obesity, Bipolar, Obsessive/Compulsive Disorder, Eating Disorders, Violence, Addiction, Birth Defects and Teen Suicide. 

What’s Really Going On Here?

“What’s Really Going on Here?” is the category that reflects the underlying influences known to cause the “conditions” listed in “Youth in Crisis.” We call these influences “situations”. The following list of “situations” are accompanied by their “sources,” their corresponding “studies” and the current “solutions” most commonly prescribed: Food Related Chemicals, Industrial Food Production, Household Toxins, Pharmaceutical Drugs, Media/Advertising, Over-stimulation, Drug/Alcohol Addiction, Schools, Political/Economic/Social Influences, and the Body/Mind/Soul Connection.

Restoring Health, Happiness and Hope

“Restoring Health, Happiness and Hope” reveals solutions that are proving to be successful in healing and restoring harmony to children and their families. We call these solutions the “reality.” Also provided is the supporting “research, the “results” being achieved, and how we might “re-vision” to make positive change. Covered are the following topics: Natural Foods and Diet, Supplements and Herbs, Alternative Health Practices, Environmental Solutions, New Parenting Skills, New Teacher Skills, Successful Educational Models, Turning It Off, Letting Children Be Children, and Becoming Your Own Activist.
