Brown Rice (Steamer Method)

 

 



Makes 25 to 30 cups

2 quarts brown rice
2 quarts water
4 teaspoons salt

Place rice in a #400 half pan. Combine water and salt and pour over rice. Cook uncovered in steamer for 30 to 35 minutes.

 

     
 

Brown Rice (Oven Method)
Makes 25 to 30 cups

2 quarts brown rice
4 quarts water
4 teaspoons salt

Preheat oven to 350º F. Place rice in a #400 half pan. Combine water and salt and pour over rice. Cover tightly with foil and bake in preheated oven until rice is tender, about 1-1/2 hours.
